Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Life of a boss the podcast. I am Jason Hardin. And I am excited to be back to give you some more valuable game to help you reach your definition of success. She how that works. Anyway, today's topic and subject and you know, our discussion is financial literacy. Financial literacy is so important, but what is it? Now, financial literacy, by definition is the ability to understand and effectively effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. Now, let me read it one more time better. Now, financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. That's what financial literacy is. And now you know where it is what it is, where do you start, you know, cuz some of us are very financial literate, and some of us are very financial illiterate, how can we all become more financially literate, and the first place to start is with yourself. As you can see, personal financial management is the first thing that list under financial literacy, you have to understand your own finances, you have to budget, which is the second thing they put out their budget, what is the budget, it's your income versus your outcome? You know what I'm saying so know what you bring in and know what you spend. And financial literacy isn't just knowing these things. I mean, that's good, but you have to apply it financial literacy is it's an action term. You know, you can't be financially literate and poor homeless and without a dime you know, you know what I'm saying that that person like he can know all about money but he's not financially literate because his his his his economic status doesn't show that you know, his bank account doesn't show that his pockets don't show that you know what I'm saying in financial literacy is is actually a tangible term, you know what I'm saying you can see the results of financial literacy? Broke people ain't got it. You know what I'm saying people that are always broke, always borrowing money, never got it. Those people aren't financially literate, you know, and they could use some more financial literacy. You know, and that's what I want to help people do I want to help people become more financially literate by first understanding their own personal finances. I don't care how old you are, you could be seven years old, you can be 70 We all have personal finances to manage we all have some type of money that we're getting it we're all spending it on something financial literacy is that is the art and the science of that, you know, and not just understanding it, but how do you make it work in your favor, because the last thing on here under financial literacy is investing. Meaning you don't just work for money, money works for you. You have to find out how to make money work for you. And I'm gonna tell you why money doesn't get tired money doesn't get sick. Money doesn't get married money doesn't get pregnant need any paid leave or or administratively paternally maternally whatever money doesn't need all that money can stay on the clock working. I keep money working around the clock in various different things from the stock market to products to investment and other people's businesses and ventures meant to keep money working for us because we do not have enough life in us to work for money forever and to do all the other things we love to do that's why make money work for me, I don't have the time. You know, I don't want to I don't want to be a slave for money. You know, I don't want to be out there having to put in hours work for an hour's pay. I don't want to do that I want money to Work Plus up I want money to work non stop and money to be earned non stop. That's the whole goal. That should be your thinking. That's financial literacy. Thinking any other way is being financially illiterate. Thinking which your wants thinking which your eyes, you know, thinking with, with, with with with your impulses, that's not being financially literate.

Now, what other importance comes with financial literacy besides having, you know, a healthy budget and in great personal finances, big moves. You can only make big moves if you're financially literate. Just ask all the people who who who couldn't get some of their moves down because They didn't understand they didn't have the credit, or they didn't have a cosigner. They didn't have the deposit, they didn't have the down payment. There's so many reasons not to get not not to be able to make a big move if you're not financially literate. But if you're financially literate, you're going to get the credit necessary, you're going to get the downpayment, the deposits required, you're going to get the income needed to make these big moves. But if you're financially illiterate, you can't make big moves. You can barely make small moves. So become more financially literate. Go online study, man. One of my favorite people to follow is Dr. Boyce Watkins. In the Juneteenth. He has a Juneteenth platform. I don't know if it's a I think it's a podcast. It's definitely an online show podcast. And it's so powerful. And I follow this man because even if he's not posting podcasts, he's posting just great quotes and great information on becoming financially literate. So you can eventually get to financial freedom. You'll never have financial freedom. By being financially illiterate, even if somebody gave you a million dollars. You won't have financial freedom if you're not financially literate because that illiteracy will run through $10 million. I've seen it happen. So don't let it happen to you become financially literate. Understand personal budgeting, personal finances, there's a lot of classes you can take online. There's a lot of people you can follow. There's a lot of mentors you can go pursue to help you be better with your money, and just be more understanding of money period. Anyway, that's my time for y'all. I love y'all I want you guys to become successful and I need you guys to be more financially literate so we can all make bigger moves together. See how that works. Anyways, Peace, Love happiness. And remember successes and lifestyle. Love of a boss. Peace
